Experience: 9 - 12 years
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $120,000/Year to $140,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

Job Summary: This hybrid Functional Architect role focuses on designing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise learning management solutions using PeopleSoft Program Management, SF Learning Content Migration, Cornerstone Learning platforms, and broader LMS/LCMS domain expertise. The architect will translate complex learning, assessment delivery, and workforce development needs into scalable functional designs that improve learner experience, compliance tracking, and organizational capability.
Key Responsibilities
• Design comprehensive functional architectures for enterprise learning management solutions that align LMS and LCMS capabilities with organizational learning strategies and measurable workforce development outcomes.
• Coordinate PeopleSoft Program Management processes to structure learning initiatives, define functional requirements, and ensure learning programs are delivered with reliability and traceability across systems.
• Analyze existing LMS configurations and workflows to identify opportunities to improve learner experience, assessment delivery accuracy, and administrative efficiency.
• Oversee SF Learning Content Migration activities by defining functional rules for content mapping, version control, and metadata governance to ensure consistent and compliant learning assets across platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to model end-to-end assessment delivery processes and support robust reporting and compliance tracking.
• Configure Cornerstone Learning solutions functionally to support curricula, certifications, competencies, evaluation schemes, and regulatory learning requirements.
• Document detailed functional specifications, use cases, and process flows for learning management and assessment delivery scenarios to guide technical configuration and testing.
• Partner with implementation teams in a hybrid work model to validate system behavior, execute functional testing, and support defect resolution for LMS and LCMS features.
• Develop reusable functional frameworks and standards for learning content lifecycle management, including authoring, migration, archival, and retrieval practices.
• Engage with stakeholders across training, human resources, and operations to translate learning strategies into practical LMS configurations that support data-driven insights and continuous improvement.
• Provide day-to-day functional guidance on learning workflows, enrollment rules, assessment setup, completion tracking, and business operations.
• Ensure learning management and assessment solutions follow data privacy, accessibility, and ethical considerations to support inclusive and responsible learning experiences.
Required Qualifications
• 9 to 12 years of relevant professional experience in enterprise learning solutions, LMS implementations, or functional architecture roles.
• Strong experience designing functional architectures for learning management ecosystems using PeopleSoft Program Management and complex program structures.
• Extensive knowledge of SF Learning Content Migration processes, including content transitions, learning records, assessment linkages, and content quality management.
• Deep LMS and LCMS domain knowledge, including catalog management, enrollment flows, assessment configuration, certification tracking, and reporting.
• Proven expertise with Cornerstone Learning platforms, including learning paths, dynamic assignments, evaluations, curricula, and certification structures.
• Strong understanding of assessment delivery modes, including formative and summative evaluations, online and blended formats, and proctored or self-paced learning experiences.
• Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into practical, scalable, and implementable functional solution designs.
• Experience working in hybrid delivery models and collaborating with cross-functional business and implementation teams.
