Starting Wage: $18.09-$24.88 per hour, depending on experience
Position Summary
The Patient Access Representative (PAR) provides customer-service coverage in centralized registration areas such as front office, outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department locations of Asante. This role assumes the responsibility for successful financial outcomes of all patient services. Under the general supervision of the Patient Access Supervisor, this position performs imperative duties, including but not limited to appointment scheduling, registration, insurance verification, telephone coverage, data entry, filing protected health information (PHI), patient referrals, and point-of-service collections, while maintaining patient relations, customer satisfaction and Asante's financial solvency. This role is also responsible for thoroughly and accurately describing the various compliance and regulatory documents that Asante is required to present to patients.
Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position is required
  • Associate degree in business, healthcare, or related field- preferred
Experience
  • Previous patient registration experience - OR - related customer service, administrative, and/or data entry experience, is required
Licensure/Certifications
  • CHAA: Certified Healthcare Access Associate through the National Association of Healthcare Access Management- preferred
