Holy Angels Residential Facility is in search of an Academic Coordinator to work at our Holy Angels Academy directly providing services to students with disabilities to support student academic development. ย  The qualified candidate will have a passion for helping children on the autism spectrum or related intellectual and developmental disabilities reach their full potential.ย  The Certified Teacherโ€™s role includes the following:ย 
Specific Skills and Responsibilities:

  • ย  ย  Manage day-to-day teaching at Holy Angels Academy
  • ย  ย  Support academic programming in our AngelWorks Day Program
  • ย  ย  ย Develop and carry out instructional programs for studentsย 
  • ย  ย  ย Maintain active engagement and learning for students with various abilitiesย 
  • ย  ย  ย Perform clerical task as needed in the capacity of a teacher
  • ย  ย  ย Implement accommodation indicated by the IEP
  • ย  ย  ย Teach in a classroom or one on one setting
  • ย  ย  ย Performs all other duties as requested by the Holy Angels Academy Director.

Qualifications:
  • ย Must maintain teaching certification (Certified Teacher) and be in good standing with the Board of Education for the State ofย  ย  ย  ย Louisiana or have 5 or more years of experience in an academic setting
  • ย Must maintain a current and valid driverโ€™s license
ย 
Education:ย 
  • ย  ย  ย  ย  Bachelorโ€™s degree education or related field
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Teacher Certification or have 5 or more years of experience in an academic setting
ย 
Work Environment:
ย 
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Must be able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities

Physical Demands:
