Job description

Rivers Health is seeking a Provider Based Registration Specialist to be Responsible for completing the technical component registrations and medical record abstracting for all Provider Base visits.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job.
The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below; and specific functions may change from time to time.
  1. Compiles pre-registration Provider Base registration report.
  1. Registers all technical component registrations.
  1. Completes abstracting on completed registrations.
  1. Reports any errors to the Manager of Patient Financial Services.
  1. Other duties assigned by the Manager of Patient Financial Services.
  1. Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills.
  1. Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration.
  1. Complies with Corporate and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
  1. Complies with Personnel employee Handbook.

EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
High school education or equivalent.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Telephone, computer, and insurance experience related to the medical
profession preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to prioritize and complete required tasks within established
timeframes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software. Ability to
analyze and solve problems. Excellent verbal and written communication
skills. Ability to work well with others in a professional office.
