Job description

Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled individual to support transmission right-of-way (R/W) and survey operations. This role involves conducting title and abstract reviews, compiling right-of-way documentation, developing basemaps, and supporting legal and engineering teams through survey analysis and drafting. Allentown, PA Key Responsibilities: Conduct abstract and title reviews for property acquired in fee-simple and through easements.

Identify and evaluate exceptions, restrictions, rights-of-way, and adverse conveyances. Ensure accuracy and completeness of property descriptions and option/R/W requirements. Compile information necessary for R/W purchases and easements.

Develop basemaps and survey base data for transmission R/W development projects. Write legal descriptions for land and R/W acquisitions. Plot survey data and assist in the preparation of property and R/W plans.

Verify accuracy of drawings prepared for legal filings. Interpret aerial photography, contour maps, and survey notes to support engineers and drafters. Conduct online courthouse research as needed.

Review consultant-prepared survey base maps for compliance with PPL standards. Prepare scopes of work and RFPs for survey vendors. Minimum Qualifications: Proficient in AutoCAD and Carlson.

Knowledge of GIS applications, LiDAR data, and PASDA data sources. Practical experience in surveying, including understanding of algebra and trigonometry as applied to survey problems. Skilled in abstract/title checking and legal deed description writing.

Ability to independently perform calculations and use computer tools relevant to the role. Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality. Must have been employed with current firm for at least one year.

Must be able to report to the Lehigh Service Center at least once a week. PA licensure preferred but not required.
