Help build the AI agent platform for real estate transactions.

Title and settlement is a $17B-a-year industry, and $3.5–5.0B of it is back-office spend that runs on fixed, manual labor. Across roughly 20,000 independent title and settlement service providers processing 5.5M+ real estate transactions a year, back-office teams do overwhelmingly rules-based work: extracting data from contracts, classifying documents, ordering vendor services, tracking exceptions, and recording files post-closing. This workforce is retiring, and we are building the national platform that converts its fixed-cost labor into a variable, AI-powered cost structure: faster closings, fewer errors, lower cost per file.

The prize is bigger than the spend we replace. The company that absorbs this work doesn't sell software to the title industry, it becomes the operating layer the industry runs on, with the margin structure of software and the revenue of the services it replaced. We are building this operating layer from inside the industry. Our CEO runs one of the largest independent title operations companies in the country and has opened its workflows, team, data, and hundreds of customers to us, accelerating and derisking our build from day one.

• Demand is already flowing. Our CEO is an industry pioneer who operates a major title agency network with existing assets, relationships, customers and revenues. Your work is to rebuild an AI-native system and absorb existing volume and scale, not to find the first customers.
• Studio backing. Stackpoint, the venture studio behind a portfolio of vertical AI real estate companies, is our first investor and operating partner: founded by repeat entrepreneurs who have built unicorn tech companies, Stackpoint provides capital, engineering support, and a deep network of real estate operators and executives.
• Multiple growth levers. New states, adjacent services on the same rails, and partnership models that let established operators run their volume through our platform. Each lever compounds the others.

This is not a typical "Head of Product & Ops" job. You will operate as the CEO's partner in building the company: owning product vision, driving ruthless prioritization, sales, fundraising and board meetings, motivating the team, and architecting the systems, culture, and execution rhythms that define how Abstract builds. Abstract is an AI-powered services business, so the scope is wider than a conventional product seat — the person who owns the product also owns the operation it powers.

We're looking for a company builder with a spike in product: someone who wakes up thinking about customers, engineering bottlenecks, strategy, and how to make the team better, without being asked.

• Own a cohesive long-term vision and translate it into a clear, focused near-
  term roadmap.
• Synthesize inputs from customers, the CEO, design partners, and market research into sharp strategic choices.
• Decide explicitly what we will not build, protecting focus and eliminating noise.
• Adapt quickly when complexity, new information, or constraints emerge.

• Own the human-in-the-loop console and manage the operator experience: queues, escalations, review workflows, and the service levels behind every order.
• Build the operating rhythm of a company where agents do the volume and humans do the judgment, and where every human touch is a signal about what to automate next.
• Run the quality system: audit accuracy is our license to operate, and you own the gate.
• Build the expansion playbook that takes a new jurisdiction from zero to target automation, and make it cheaper every time we run it.

• Own the company's metrics, from orders per operator per month down to what an operator sees on shift.
• Use touch-by-reason data to drive the automation backlog: the operation generates its own roadmap, and you are the person who reads it.
• Work directly with engineers to understand constraints, unblock issues, challenge assumptions, and refine approaches
• Apply first-principles prioritization: weigh impact vs complexity vs risk, and cut scope aggressively when needed.

• Run design-partner relationships day to day: working sessions, benchmarking, the feedback loop into product, and conversion to long-term commercial contracts.
• Own the commercial motion end to end: build the pipeline of title agency partners, run the pitches, shape the proposals, and close.
• Own pricing and packaging: per-file economics, service bundles, and the commercial model that turns each point of automation into margin.
• Represent Abstract in the industry: associations, conferences, and the rooms where 20,000 independent agencies decide who to trust with their back office.

• Recruit across product, engineering, operations, design and GTM.
• Own investor materials, partner pitches, and the operating model.
• Proactively build team energy, a strong culture and communication channels.
• Model founder-level ownership: when something breaks, you own the
  solution.
• Deepen Abstract's AI-native operating model, so a ten-person company operates like a hundred-person one.

Builder's range. You have been an early product leader and entrepreneur who operated past the edge of the job description: at this stage, product, operations, and strategy are one job.

Operations-in-the-loop product experience. You have built product where the product is a workflow run by both software and people: marketplaces, fintech operations, insurance, logistics, or another domain where quality is guaranteed by a system rather than a heroic individual. You know how to instrument human work and convert it into automation.

AI-native judgment. You use AI tools heavily in your own work, you have shipped LLM-powered features where reliability mattered, and you have working intuition for what agents do well, where they fail, and how to design the human backstop.

Engineering partnership. You go deep enough into architecture and data flows to challenge assumptions and make real tradeoffs. Engineers trust you because you understand their constraints and protect their focus.

Team leadership. You have built and motivated high-performing cross-functional teams in tech: engineers, operators, and designers aligned around milestones and meaning. You communicate tradeoffs candidly, and people leave your meetings with more energy than they brought.

Commercial drive. You have driven, or been a core part of, B2B sales motions: building pipeline, converting customers, and setting pricing. A room of prospective customers energizes you rather than drains you, and you're ready to be on the road for it, spending regular in-person time with the CEO, customers, and the industry.
