Heavy Duty Tow Truck Driver

JNI Hauling LLC is the parent company of A2B Towing, Bolin Towing, A&A Towing Services, Cardinal & Hoods.

We are seeking both entry level and experienced Tow Truck Operators eager to join a fast paced and growing team!

We have immediate openings for full-time tow truck operators. We are looking to hire motivated, hardworking individuals who are willing to work nights and weekends. Are you ready to be part of the best tow company in the St. Louis area?

Heavy Operator Responsibilities:

Operates heavy wrecker recovering and towing medium and heavy-duty vehicles.

Duties entail very early and late pickup and delivery times, employee is on the road an extreme amount of time

Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accident

Must follow DOT procedures Picks up vehicles at auction or private party, loads onto Company truck at the various locations

Secures vehicles down and verifies the condition of the truck and the load, gets paperwork associated with the vehicle

Leaves lot with orders where to pick up vehicles, drives to the pick destination and verifies vehicles obtains signature at the pickup location confirming the accuracy of Vehicles shown on the order and those received and signs off on the integrity of what was loaded at the location

Works carefully in such a manner as to prevent injury to yourself or damage to vehicles Complies with established Company policies and procedures

Provide exceptional customer service to our Members in need of emergency mechanical help including

Subject to DOT Procedures - driver logs, unexpired medical card

Ensures safe delivery of vehicles by retrieving and delivering to and from customers

Geography, street mapping and GPS skills

Keep track of time and transports for billing

Makes proper notations on regarding vehicles

Willing to help in light duty during time of need while on shift

Hook and tie down cars for transport following outlined procedures and guidelines

Transport cars between dealerships, body shops, branches and auctions as requested

Heavy Operator Requirements:

Must possess a valid driver's license CDL (Class A) and safe driving record

Willing to obtain doubles and triples endorsement

Must meet Department of Transportation testing and physical requirements

Must be detail oriented and accurate in work assignments

Must provide your own hand tools

Ability to perform basic math calculations and interpret road maps

Ability to pass a physical examination required by the Department of Transportation (DOT Card Required) and maintain the certificate for the duration of employment in the position

Demonstrates positive customer service attitude - both to coworkers and customers.

Able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in tight spaces

Ability to work in extreme weather

Sit behind driving wheel for extended periods of time

Successfully pass drug tests in compliance with company policy and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
