We are partnered with a well-established, global organization operating within the renewable energy and infrastructure sector, supporting the delivery of large-scale projects across North America and internationally.


As the business continues to grow and invest in new manufacturing capabilities, they are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead supply chain strategy and execution for a rapidly expanding steel products division.


Role Overview:


This is a highly visible leadership opportunity that will play a key role in supporting business growth, developing operational processes, managing supplier performance, and ensuring the successful delivery of materials across complex project environments.


The successful candidate will combine strong strategic thinking with hands-on operational experience and will be comfortable working across manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, engineering, and commercial teams.


(Hybrid working model - 4 days onsite)


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead end-to-end supply chain activities across planning, procurement coordination, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance.
  • Develop and execute material planning strategies to support production schedules, customer commitments, and business growth objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and operational excellence.
  • Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, inventory management, and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Establish and refine processes, reporting structures, and performance metrics to support a growing business unit.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, operations, and leadership teams to align supply chain activities with business priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on cost reduction, service improvement, and operational scalability.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions and support business continuity.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership regarding supply chain performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the future development and growth of the supply chain organization through leadership, mentoring, and team development.


What Weโ€™re Looking For


  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 10-15+ years of progressive experience within supply chain, manufacturing, operations, logistics, or procurement leadership roles.
  • Strong experience within steel manufacturing, steel processing, metal fabrication, structural steel, industrial products, machinery, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex supply chains in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working closely with suppliers on capacity planning, performance management, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory management, production planning, and logistics operations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Experience supporting business growth, product launches, facility expansions, or operational transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using ERP systems, planning tools, and supply chain reporting platforms.
  • Comfortable making decisions in dynamic environments where priorities and requirements may evolve quickly.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to travel periodically to support suppliers, manufacturing operations, and project requirements.
