Job description

As an Office Manager, you will manage and oversee all office functions for the market, including direct supervision of 5-8 Accounts Receivable staff members. In addition, this position is the branch level IT contact and will work the regional staff to ensure new employees have equipment ordered and facilitate resolution of any tech issues.
This role will provide support for the Heartland Market branches which include Bunzl Chicago (Romeoville, IL), Bunzl Milwaukee, Bunzl St. Louis, and Bunzl Minneapolis. This position is ONSITE, Monday- Friday at the Bunzl Chicago (Romeoville, IL) branch.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise staff in the accounting department (e.g. A/P, A/R,).
  • Negotiate office contracts with outside vendors.
  • Prepare and run month end reports.
  • Assist branch with Corporate Record Retention Program.
  • Coordinate branch responsibilities such as payroll reporting.
  • Handle first level IT issues; troubleshoot problems and maintain equipment.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding (IT access, office equipment, computers, phones, etc.)
  • Coordination of employee lunch/catering events. Branch summer BBQ execution, Holiday Parties.
  • Travel will be required on a monthly basis to St. Louis, MO branch.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting knowledge and/or customer service experience.
  • 3 years of A/R, A/P or accounting background strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel on a monthly basis to St. Louis, MO branch and as needed for special events/employee functions. Annually to all branches for inventory.
  • Proficient in MS Office Products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • AS400 experience is highly preferred.
  • Produce solid analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Prior management experience is highly preferred.
  • Multi-task and perform with a high level of energy.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
