Description
Primary Function: The Email Marketing Specialist supports the Marketing team in executing email campaigns and digital communications. This role is responsible for building, deploying, and optimizing marketing and operational emails, managing audience segmentation, ensuring compliance, and supporting overall campaign performance across digital channels.
Education and Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in email or digital marketing
Experience with platforms such as Marquis and Constant Contact preferred
Experience in financial services or regulated environments a plus
Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Email Marketing & Campaign Execution
• Build, edit, and format all marketing emails through Marquis platform
• Set up and schedule campaigns, ensuring accuracy across content, links, and personalization
• Send non-member communications through Constant Contact platform
• Execute operational emails, including dormancy notices and account-related communications
• Ensure campaign timing, frequency, and targeting align with marketing strategy
List Management & Targeting
• Pull and manage email lists within Marquis for targeted campaigns
• Segment audiences based on campaign goals (members vs. non-members, product usage, etc.)
• Maintain list hygiene, including unsubscribes and suppression lists
• Monitor audience performance and recommend segmentation improvements
Compliance & Proofing
• Route all email campaigns through Lythos for proofing and approvals
• Partner with internal compliance to obtain and apply required disclosures
• Ensure all communications meet regulatory, legal, and brand standards
• Review and proof all email content for accuracy prior to deployment
Reporting & Optimization
• Track and report on key performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, and engagement
• Analyze campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Assist with A/B testing for subject lines, content, and send times
• Provide regular reporting to support marketing decision making
Digital Marketing Support
• Assist with website updates, banners, and landing page content as needed
• Support digital onboarding and automated marketing journeys
• Maintain marketing calendars and assist with campaign coordination
• Provide general marketing support and act as backup for team functions
Behavioral Expectations
• Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all communications
• Proactively manage campaign timelines and deliverables
Work Environment/Physical Activities:
Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Work creates normal fatigue daily.
