Job Title: Inpatient Psychiatrist – 7 On / 7 Off Rotation
Location: Oroville, California


Position Overview

A hospital-based behavioral health program is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist for a 7 on / 7 off rotation. This role combines inpatient psychiatric care with a strong academic component, working closely with PGY-1 and PGY-2 residents in a collaborative, team-based environment.


Job Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric care in an inpatient setting
  • Conduct daily rounds, evaluations, and medication management for hospitalized patients
  • Supervise and collaborate with PGY-1 and PGY-2 residents
  • Participate in teaching, mentorship, and clinical guidance of residents
  • Perform psychiatric assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage patient care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, social work, and case management
  • Participate in discharge planning and care coordination
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Schedule & Working Hours
  • 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
  • Daytime coverage during scheduled week

Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
