Job description:
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for delegating and coordinating the safe and efficient execution of all tasks within the assigned department/shift. You will report to the Production Manager and be part of the Chemprene team. This position is responsible for 10-15 direct reports and work closely with all departments to achieve efficiencies in quality, safety and production. This role is based in Beacon, New York.
A day in the life of a Production Supervisor can look like
  • Creating training plans for assigned personnel
  • Supervising and coaching production employees
  • Building a productive, inclusive, respectful and professional work environment
  • Managing daily production goals by efficient personnel scheduling and tasks coordination
  • Working with Safety, Quality, Scheduling, and other departments to achieve company key performance goals
  • Mentor staff in achieving career goals. Owns the performance appraisal and goal setting process for all direct reports
  • Responsible for interviewing and recommending candidates for hiring or promotion
  • Maintain department organization and cleanliness using LEAN principles and delegating in a motivational manner
  • Efficient scheduling of personnel (shifts, breaks, PTO, etc.)
  • Responsible for approving and managing personnel timecards
