3rd Shift Supervisor (LPN or EMT Preferred)Pay

Position Purpose

The Night Shift Supervisor provides leadership and oversight of resident services during overnight hours. This position is responsible for coordinating staff activities, ensuring resident safety, and maintaining compliance with care plans, Resident Rights, and Homes for the Aged regulations. The Supervisor supports residents with dignity and respect while promoting independence and continuity of care.


Qualifications
  • LPN or EMT preferred but not required

  • Experience working with older adults preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing

  • Ability to perform essential job functions physically and mentally

  • Ability to supervise staff and respond appropriately in emergency situations


Essential Functions
  • Treat all residents with dignity, respect, and kindness

  • Provide care and service in accordance with individual care and service plans

  • Supervise resident services staff during assigned shift

  • Ensure resident safety and respond appropriately to emergencies

  • Protect residents from accidents and injuries

  • Complete resident assessments as required

  • Develop and maintain individual care and service plans based on resident assessments

  • Communicate with physicians and licensed health care professionals regarding resident condition, medications, and treatments

  • Communicate with family members, authorized representatives, and agencies as needed

  • Complete required documentation related to resident, staff, or guest incidents or injuries and notify appropriate parties

  • Conduct staff performance evaluations as required, including 90-day and annual reviews

  • Provide staff coaching and counseling as needed

  • Assist residents with attending meals and life enrichment activities

  • Encourage residents to maintain the highest level of independence possible

  • Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, cognitive, or behavioral condition

  • Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance, including call lights

  • Enforce infection control protocols

  • Ensure compliance with Resident Rights and confidentiality requirements

  • Enforce rules and regulations governing Homes for the Aged

  • Ensure adherence to Employee Handbook policies and procedures
