Job description

Position Title: 3rd Shift Utility Operator 

Pay Rate: $21.28 

Category/Shift: Hourly Shift

11pm - 7am  (3rd shift)

** Some weekends are mandatory

** Some shifts required mandatory overtime

Physical Location:

Griffin Box Plant 330 Hudson Rd.  Griffin, Ga. 30224                      

The Job You Will Perform:  

                Miscellaneous labor associates perform assigned duties to help meet operational requirements.

                Miscellaneous labor associates report to the production supervisor for the shift to which they are assigned.  Miscellaneous labor associates also follow the direction of the equipment operator when they are assigned to a machine crew.

                 Primary miscellaneous labor duties / responsibilities include:

                - following all safety rules and practices;

                - reading factory work orders, print cards, and other documents to learn customer requirements;

                - identifying stock and products that correspond to work orders;

                - performing assigned duties to insure that production needs are met;

                - assisting other associates as needed;

                - accurately using tape measures and other measurement and test equipment;

                - inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products according to customer specifications;

                - identifying and segregating nonconforming (reject) products and materials;

                - accurately completing time sheets, reports, lists, and other records;

                - keeping the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations;

                - maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping;

                - maintaining teamwork with machine crews and other associates; and

                - performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
