Identity / Risk Management Specialist (Tech Ops) (Mission Assurance 3-5)

HII's Mission Technologies division is seeking skilled and experienced Intelligence or Cyber SMEs to join our dynamic team as an Identity / Risk Management Specialist (Tech Ops) (Mission Assurance 3-5). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust identity management systems and cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive information and critical infrastructure for our government and military clients. They will provide operational support to Identity Management (IdM) physical and virtual activities, and will work independently or in small teams developing risk management assessment and recommendations to fulfill IdM requirements.

This posting is to collect applications for current and future openings for HII Mission Technologies. Candidates will be screened as opportunities come available and selected candidates will be contacted about an opportunity.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops systems, applications, and solutions for enterprise-level cyber systems and networks, applying expertise in secure communication protocols and systems integration.
  • Establishes and maintains operational security risk management strategies, including defining security requirements, performing risk assessments, and implementing proactive solutions to mitigate emerging threats.
  • Employs advanced tools and tradecraft related to identity management, vulnerability testing and system hardening.
  • Integrates new security features within existing architectures, addressing current and future operational challenges, and providing architectural analysis to enhance system capabilities, business, and operational continuity planning.
  • Develops security policies and may interface with diverse external entities, including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies.
  • Offers engineering recommendations, leads testing initiatives, and provides solutions to resolve complex system issues.
  • Applies extensive technical expertise in operational-related risk management and intelligence tradecraft within cyber and physical domains and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • LEVEL 3: 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • LEVEL 4: 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • LEVEL 5: 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.

DoD or military service MOS producing course in either CI, HUMINT, Intelligence or Cyber Experience within the Intelligence Community, Special Operations, or Federal Law Enforcement in the specialty areas of Cyber, SIGINT, or Intelligence Analysis. Strong understanding and manipulation of computer hardware and software. Experience in managed attribution, identity management, and cybersecurity roles.

Travel- Must be able to travel to points within the designated area of responsibility on an "as required" basis. Current/active US Passport and medically cleared to deploy. Clearance- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with a CI Poly.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field; and 10-20+ years of intelligence/risk management specialist experience.
  • Experience with various techniques applied to identity management methodologies.
  • Demonstrable managed attribution experience.
  • Familiarity with Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) principles.
  • Experience in determining the operational validity of a military unit's risk management Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
  • Knowledge of various open sources, digital behaviors, and common platforms used in one or more Component Command level AORs.
  • Completion of one or more of the following JCITA Courses: Fundamentals of Sensitive Support (FOSS) Advanced Planners Course (APC) Advanced Technicians Course (ATC) Due Diligence Course (DDC).
  • Equivalent experience as a: Counterintelligence Special Agent (NCIS, AFOSI, ARMY CI, USMC CI/HUMINT) Special Forces Intelligence WO/NCO with ASOT level 2+ training and experience NSW Operator with intelligence tradecraft experience 3-letter agency equivalent training - DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance with active FS Polygraph preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
  • Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
