Responsibilities/Qualifications

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Homestead. We manage Whispering Pines Senior Living Facility in Lake City MI and are hiring Med Techs. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to our valued residents. If you have experience administering medications and have a passion for working with the elderly in a welcoming environment with competitive pay rates, we have the perfect position for you! You will also attend a thorough orientation and training to excel in your role. 

This is a part time position.

As a Med Tech you will be in charge of:

  • Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
  • Administering medications and injections to residents based on physicians’ orders recorded in medical charts
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
  • Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
  • Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
  • Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
  • Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
  • Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
  • Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
  • Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
  • Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements we ask of you:

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Experience in medication administration and working with seniors
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation
  • Availability to work every other weekend is required
