Job description

Experienced bookkeeper

$24 - $28 an hour Part-time

A locally owned home care provider is looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team.

Pay: $24.00 - 28.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing client accounts for billing (private, VA, long term care insurance, and Medicaid)
  • Timely billing, every two weeks
  • Emailing and calling payors as needed for assistance, corrections, and collections
  • Payroll processing
  • Filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records related to billing
  • Bank deposits, post office, and occasional shopping
  • Assisting owner with accounts receivable and payable as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous bookkeeping experience required, including accounts receivable, payable, and payroll processing
  • Computer literate
  • MMIS and Quickbooks experience strongly preferred

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30 am Wednesday and Thursday every week, with an additional 8:30-3:30 shift every other Monday. Potential for additional work in the future.
