As a Custodian, you will assist in the inventory and stocking all supplies within areas of responsibility.

This position operates on a Monday - Friday schedule, 5:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

What you will do:

  • Assist in the inventory and stocking all supplies within areas of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate safe work habits and observe all applicable worker safety practices, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Plan, coordinate, and perform custodial work.
  • Utilize the proper usage of cleaning equipment and materials.
  • Use common cleaning materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate a variety of custodial equipment.
  • Learn custodial procedures, methods, and schedules.
  • Observe and report safety hazards and needs for maintenance and repair.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working order.
  • Move and rearrange furniture and equipment for meetings and special events!
  • Perform minor repairs.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions/directions.
  • Meet schedules and timelines.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Make appropriate decisions without assistance from immediate supervisor.
  • Perform physical labor; must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional overtime required for major events.

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including time management with an ability to prioritize and set clear expectations.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
  • Knowledge of modern cleaning methods including basic methods of white boards, carpets, furniture, walls, and fixtures
  • Product labels/instructions for safe and appropriate use
  • Proper methods, techniques, materials, disinfectants, tools, and equipment used in modern custodial work.
  • Working knowledge of computers with an ability to open and read email, calendars, and event agendas.
