Job description

As an Electrical Project Control Engineer, you will be responsible for scoping, engineering, designing, and installing projects in the Circleville facility. This includes both new installations and modifications to existing process. You will manage complex projects that involve engineering disciplines beyond electrical engineering in some cases. This responsibility includes working closely with and supervising contractors, other supervisors, operations and maintenance personnel, vendors, purchasing, and EHS to assure a high level of achievement in safety, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans, the incumbent must be able to conceptualize systems and communicate these plans to technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Create scope documents, obtain engineering and construction bids, write ACT requests, oversee construction, schedule and coordinate system outages, and assist in the startup operation of projects.
  • Develop project budgets and schedules to drive the completion of the project within the constraints of both.
  • Track project spending from conception to commissioning and communicate spending trends to the appropriate people in the organization and adjust throughout the project to stay within authorization amounts.
  • Assist in diagnosis of operational problems and maintenance troubleshooting is also required
  • Oversee process control installations, improvements, infrastructure, plant power distribution, and supporting systems in the Resin Plant.
  • Development and institution of operating and training programs related to projects, and the skill sets of maintenance and operations personnel.
  • Assure that all necessary OSHA PSM, TS16949, and environmental permitting requirements are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related engineering field.
  • 5 years of controls / DCS / PLC experience
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming process instrumentation in an industrial environment or willingness to learn.
  • Experience with GE Proficy iFix SCADA, HMI, and historian software is a plus.
  • Communication plans for technical and non-technical personnel; must have excellent problem-solving skills; and can conceptualize systems
