  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with SHSAT test format and common challenges such as advanced math content beyond grade-level curriculum, reading stamina for long passages, and grid-in answer formatting. Adapts instruction using official NYC Department of Education practice materials, timed section drills, and progressive difficulty problem sets to support seventh and eighth grade students competing for specialized high school admission.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
