We are seeking a passionate and skilled Band Director to join our faculty at Saint Francis DeSales, a Catholic high school in Columbus, Ohio. This role is ideal for an educator who is dedicated to fostering musical excellence within a faith-based environment.Position Overview:
The Band Director will lead and instruct students in performance of various styles of music, ensuring a vibrant and engaging music program that enhances the school's artistic and spiritual life. This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role suited to an energetic educator who thrives on variety.
Responsibilities include:
  • Directing Marching Band, Concert Band and Jazz Band fostering an engaging and enriching Instrumental experience for students.
  • Teaching 5th through 8th Grade Band Students at St James The Less and St. Josephine Bakhita Middle Schools. Guiding these students in ensemble performance, and musical interpretation.
  • Conducting the Pit Orchestra for the School Musical
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Music Education(or related field) required.
  • Strong Conducting and Rehearsal Skills necessary for rehearsals and performances.
  • Experience in High School Band Directing preferred.
