Job description

Develop the Talent. Strengthen the Leaders. Elevate the Organization.
For over 36 years, Improveit Home Remodeling has been a trusted leader and innovative force in the remodeling industry. Our name reflects our mission: helping homeowners improve their homes while helping our employees improve their lives — personally and professionally.
Growth is in our DNA. As we embark on our next major expansion phase, we are seeking a high-impact Learning & Development Leader to build, lead, and scale our enterprise learning strategy.
This is not a maintenance role.
This is a build-and-grow opportunity.
You will design and implement the systems that shape how people grow — from new hires to emerging executives — ensuring our training drives measurable performance, retention, leadership depth, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
As our Learning & Development Leader, you will:
  • Design and lead a comprehensive organizational learning strategy
  • Build onboarding programs that reduce ramp time and accelerate productivity
  • Create structured leadership development pathways across departments
  • Develop engaging multimedia training content (videos, LMS modules, workbooks, certifications)
  • Own and optimize our Learning Management System (Absorb preferred)
  • Align recruiting, onboarding, and role-specific training into a seamless development journey
  • Define and track training KPIs tied directly to business performance
  • Continuously improve programs using data, feedback, and field insights
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive development aligned with company growth goals
Who Thrives in This Role
You may be a strong fit if you are:
  • A strategic thinker who also loves execution
  • A learner, committed to gaining knowledge about new parts of the business and building learning content
  • Energized by building systems from the ground up
  • Comfortable influencing leaders at every level
  • Highly skilled in curriculum design and adult learning methodologies
  • Tech-savvy and excited about leveraging AI and modern learning tools
  • A confident facilitator with strong executive presence
  • Deeply motivated to elevate people and drive measurable results
If you’ve built high-performing learning ecosystems before — and want to do it again at scale — this role is for you.
What You Bring
  • 5–7 years of experience in Organizational Learning & Development or Training Leadership
  • Proven success designing and implementing high-impact training programs
  • Strong emotional intelligence and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Experience managing and optimizing LMS platforms (Absorb preferred)
  • Executive coaching or consulting background (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to build processes and systems from inception
What We Offer
  • Highly competitive salary with bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental)
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick time)
  • AFLAC supplemental insurance
  • Career advancement opportunities
  • Advanced technology tools
  • A positive, performance-driven culture
  • Beautiful Gahanna, OH offices
  • Stability of a 36-year award-winning industry leader
Why Improveit?
  • We are a people-first, culture-strong, growth-focused remodeling company with a proven business model and bold expansion plans. As we prepare for our next phase of growth, the Learning & Development Leader will be foundational to scaling our leadership bench, strengthening retention, and building the performance engine that powers our next chapter.
  • This is an opportunity to leave a legacy — not just run training sessions.
