We are seeking a Banquet Prep Cook to play a key role in executing exceptional meetings, weddings, and special events. This position is perfect for someone who thrives behind the scenes, takes pride in preparation, and wants exposure to multiple areas of the kitchen-including cross-training on Line Cook duties.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare food items for banquets and special events, including proteins, sauces, vegetables, starches, hors d'oeuvres, and buffet components
  • Execute prep lists based on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), timelines, and standardized recipes
  • Support large-scale culinary production for conferences, weddings, and high-profile events
  • Maintain clean, organized, and food-safe workstations while following all sanitation standards
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Banquet Cook and Culinary Leadership to ensure event readiness
  • Assist with plating, garnishing, and banquet setup as needed
  • Cross-train on Line Cook duties, including station setup, cooking techniques, and service execution
  • Support other kitchen areas during peak business periods to ensure overall operational success

  • Previous kitchen or prep cook experience preferred (hotel or banquet experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures
