What You Will Do At ODM:

Office: Health Innovation & Quality

Bureau: Health Research & Quality

Job Overview:

As theย Health Innovation Research Managerย in the Office of Health Innovation & Quality, Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM), your responsibilities will include:

ยทย ย ย ย Serving as the agency manager to evaluate Medicaidโ€™s programs and initiatives to transform health systems through partnership with Ohioโ€™s academic community and health leaders

ยทย ย ย ย Conducting program development, program analysis and comparative studies to determine the impact of the transformation initiative

ยทย ย ย ย Evaluating effective practices to improve chronic disease prevention and early detection through the Regional QI Hub Quality Improvement initiative, assessing Medicaid adultsโ€™ and childrenโ€™s access care, and evaluating whether Ohioโ€™s Managed Care Organizations improve health outcomes

ยทย ย ย ย Providing strategic oversight of policies and procedures governing Medicaid Technical Assistance and Policy Program (MedTAPP) and other similar programs

ยทย ย ย ย Analyzing and interpreting federal and state regulations, rules and laws to ensure program compliance

Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 12 monthsย experienceย in the delivery of a health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data base analysis).

Or 12 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Specialist, 65293.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
