Job description

Nature and Scope

This position is directly responsible for managing and supporting all elements related to desktop PC's, laptops, mobile communication devices, installed Operating Systems and productivity software. In addition, responsibilities include supporting Onboarding/offboarding practices, asset management, Tier 1 -2 level support for all ARI applications. Good people skills are required as this position will consistently interact with internal/ external customers daily. Excellent communication and technical skills are necessary to communicate with customers to evaluate hardware and software requirements and provide solutions which meet those requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Desktop Support:

  • Install, configure and maintain the organization's computer hardware- particularly company PC's/workstations/ laptops.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding of users on multiple domains per JSOX standards
  • Working knowledge of Service Now Helpdesk ticketing system, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, (LDAP) , Group Policy technologies
  • Support all desktop applications and client installations.
  • Support all mobile telephony devices.
  • Provide level of technical support, user training and troubleshooting for PC, hardware, software and all applications associated with ARI.
  • Support secure VPN software installs, upgrades and maintenance as initiated by Network Security management.
  • Support MFA for multiple applications, help implement and maintain operations for end users
  • Support technical support for Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Install/upgrade desktop/ laptop software. Cloud based on prem services.
  • Apply fixes/patches to software on an as needed basis. Ensure security applications are installed and working as expected.
  • Install/replace computer hardware.
  • Handle service calls for hardware and software issues
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts/peripherals.
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to all I.T. JSOX policies in performing day to day activities.
  • Periodically train on the I.T. department's policies in compliance with JSOX.
  • Support and administer I.T. JSOX monitoring and reporting tools.
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma with some college or technical schooling required. Associate's Degree Preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with desktop and support.
  • Preferred Certifications include A+, MCITP, MCDST, MCSA, MOS.
  • Must be able to work within a team orientated environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and collaborative skills.
  • Proficient in MS Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Products. Office 365 Web based applications. Adobe software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
