Job description

A rapidly growing leader in fire protection, life safety, and security solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Project Manager to join their team in either the Cleveland area or Columbus, Ohio. This role is responsible for leading fire alarm, suppression, and security system projects from kickoff through completion while partnering with customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. It is an excellent opportunity for a construction project manager looking to join a stable organization with strong growth potential and a clear path into future leadership roles.

What You'll Do as the Fire Alarm Project Manager:

  • Manage fire alarm, suppression, and security system projects from award through closeout
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Monitor project progress to ensure timelines, quality standards, and financial objectives are achieved
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Coordinate activities between design, installation, service, and subcontractor teams
  • Lead project meetings and communicate status updates to stakeholders
  • Review project documentation, drawings, submittals, and change orders
  • Support commissioning, turnover, inspections, and project closeout activities
  • Track labor, material, and project costs to maintain profitability
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and customer requirements

Must-Haves as the Fire Alarm Project Manager:

  • Project management experience within construction, electrical contracting, building systems, fire protection, security systems, or a related industry
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
  • Ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders and project teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Nice-to-Haves as the Fire Alarm Project Manager:

  • Fire alarm, fire protection, life safety, or security systems experience
  • Commercial construction project management experience
  • Electrical contractor project management experience
  • Familiarity with NFPA codes and industry standards
  • Experience using Procore
  • Experience using Salesforce
