Job description

As a Color Lab Technician, you will support the Commercial Refinish Color Lab by performing high-volume color matching processes to deliver precise paint matches. You will mix and apply paint, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safe, efficient lab operations.

Schedule: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Mix paint formulas manually or using automated systems based on specifications

  • Prepare and apply paint to metal panels and complete baking procedures

  • Transfer completed panels to colorists for evaluation

  • Maintain high-quality standards while completing assignments

  • Follow established procedures to support high-volume daily operations

  • Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE

  • Report safety concerns and maintain awareness of procedures

  • Perform general lab housekeeping, including cleaning, stocking, and organizing

  • Maintain equipment and workstations in clean, organized condition

  • Navigate computer systems for job tracking and documentation

  • Follow digital workflows and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 1+ years of laboratory experience

  • Experience in paint, automotive, or manufacturing environments
