Job description

The Automotive Painter is responsible for applying paint finishes to vehicles in a shop environment, ensuring quality and precision in every job. Working closely with other automotive technicians, this role demands expertise in surface preparation, color matching, and spray painting while adhering to safety standards and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting including cleaning and sanding
  • Mix paint accurately to achieve desired color matching
  • Apply paint using spray painting techniques
  • Inspect painted surfaces to ensure quality and consistency
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment regularly
  • Mask and tape areas to protect from overspray
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
  • Dispose of paint waste properly and in compliance with regulations

Required Qualifications
