Job description

Are you passionate about precision and creativity? Do you have a keen eye for color and detail? We are looking for a Color Matching Specialist to join our team and help develop and document consistent, repeatable finishing processes based on customer-submitted samples.


In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring our finishes meet exacting standards for color accuracy, efficiency, and production readiness. Your work will directly contribute to delivering top-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop color formulas that can be reproduced efficiently on the production floor with minimal adjustments
  • Create and distribute detailed procedure sheets for each successful color match
  • Prioritize and process time-sensitive ("Xpress" or "Hot") jobs with urgency and clear communication
  • Collaborate with team members to support overall departmental goals
  • Use developed formulas to accurately replenish stains and paints
  • Understand various wood species and identify acceptable defects as they relate to assembly
  • Assist other departments during periods of low workload
  • Maintain organized, clean workspaces and follow all safety protocols
  • Notify appropriate personnel of equipment repair needs
  • Ensure job numbers are completed in sequential order
