Position: Transportation Supervisor

Job Summary: The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all transportation operations within the organization and ensuring it is supporting the overall company mission of delivering exceptional client care. This includes coordinating daily driver transit schedules, managing daily/weekly transportation logistics, optimizing driving routes between locations, and ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance standards. This role will assist with fleet management and the transportation asset strategy as well as interface with both internal stakeholders and external partners to design and execute this strategy. The role requires strong interpersonal/leadership skills, an ability to collaborate with teams and departments leaders, demonstrates solid organizational/planning skills, and maintains keen attention to detail and execution. This position reports to the VP of Infrastructure and Information Technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and mentor transportation staff, including Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and support to foster professional growth. Cultivate a positive, collaborative work environment to enhance team effectiveness and morale.
  • Supervise all daily transportation operations, including route planning, scheduling, and Develop and implement strategies and policies to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Assist with the development of the transportation budget, to forecast expenses and monitor costs. Identify cost-saving opportunities and execute strategies to reduce transportation Oversee fuel card management, monitor fuel usage, and develop strategies to enhance fuel efficiency and manage fleet budgets effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to uphold high safety standards. Promptly address vehicular emergencies and manage transportation-related incidents or accidents.
  • Analyze transportation data and performance metrics to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvements.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of the company's vehicle fleet. Assist with the planning of acquisition and or leasing of new vehicles, develop cost-effective vehicle replacement and disposal
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of transportation activities and cover any gaps in service coverage as needed.
  • Perform duties in both office and field settings, with occasional evening or weekend work as required by operational demands.
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Experience/Certifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role, demonstrating successful project management and team leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Working understanding of transportation regulations and safety
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License and Must pass a BCI check, MVR, corporate compliance checks, and an employment drug screen.

Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm

Compensation: $55,000 - 70,000 annually
