Job description

Job Description Summary:
CES is looking for a Medical Records Technician to support the Ohio Army National Guard by maintaining medical records of hospital and clinic patients and reviewing medical records for completeness and accuracy. Work to be performed in Columbus, OH.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintain medical records of hospital and clinic patients, reviews medical records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Code diseases, operations, diagnoses and treatments; compiles medical care and census data for statistical reports; and maintain indexes on patients, disease, operation, and other categories
  • The Medical Record Technician files patient records, maintains the flow of medical records, and reports to departments.
Required qualifications/skills:
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' practical experience in medical records management and administration with a special focus on medical program management
  • Work to be performed at government site in Columbus, OH.
  • Must have knowledge and experience needed to use Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.

Other:
  • Shall complete HIPAA certification course within 30 days of on-boarding and annually, thereafter
  • Work hours will be from 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays.
