Position Responsibilities:
Develop high level design based on platform requirements, driving technical projects from scoping requirements through project launch. Responsible for serving as a technical expert in the software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Contribute to developing robust Samsung project support strategies to identify and address potential integration issues before they impact Samsung customers or business operations. Identify sensitive data that needs to be securely destroyed across the system and achieve this by identifying failure scenarios before integration testing. Review and assess data safety and privacy requests and ensure Samsung's data security is effective, ensuring partner's information is safe and fostering customer trust. Establish a secure process to permanently eliminate obsolete order information and develop and maintain post purchase order modification system and prevent its recovery. Assist, perform, and improve day-to-day activities and operations of the eCommerce Team. Expand feature set platform in an extensible and scalable manner. Eliminate process bottlenecks in the Samsung online management system for customers by enhancing privacy and data security. Apply test automation initiatives to improve web and mobile experiences with the overall goal of expanding and improving operations within the eCommerce Engineering Team.
Position Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or another related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and seven years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and three years of experience. Must have three years of experience in the following skills: (1) proficiency in at least one of the following technologies: Node.js, JavaScript, RDBMS, SQL, Elastic Search, event/message driven systems, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, Microservices architecture, or Redis; (2) experience with design patterns (structural, behavioral, and creational), object oriented programming concepts, and data structures and algorithms; (3) proficiency with web technologies html, CSS, single page app, caching, and CDN; (4) expert knowledge of Software Engineering best practices including software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations; (5) experience working in Linux based environment; and (6) experience designing highly scalable systems to handle heavy system load with minimal latency with proper system monitoring and alerting strategies. Partial telecommuting permitted; employees will be required to report to office multiple days per week.
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week. Salary Range: $265,000/year to $285,000/year
