About the Role

The Director, Workforce Operations is a strategic individual contributor embedded in the Strategy & Operations team. This role is central to how a large, complex technology organization plans, manages, and scales its workforce - connecting workforce strategy to operational execution in meaningful ways. You'll partner across Product Management, Finance, HR and Data Solutions Leadership to ensure that the right people are in the right roles at the right time, while building the systems and processes that make that possible.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead end-to-end workforce operations strategy, including headcount and token planning, position management, and organizational design in partnership with Data Solutions leadership
  • Partner with Product Management and cross-functional leadership to manage workforce pipelines, capacity planning and hiring roadmaps aligned to business priorities
  • Own the full position lifecycle - from requisition creation through offer approval - ensuring process integrity and speed
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide real-time visibility into workforce health, open headcount, and hiring progress
  • Drive operational rigor around job requisition management and position lifecycle workflows in Workday
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to scale workforce operations efficiently
  • Partner with Data Solutions leadership to translate business goals into workforce plans and hiring roadmaps, including supporting the V2MOM planning process
  • Track progress against strategic workforce objectives and surface insights that inform senior decision-making
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, briefing materials, and workforce review decks for DET and Data Solutions org leadership
  • Serve as a primary liaison and trusted partner across DET, Finance, HR, and Recruiting - building relationships and driving alignment across functions

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in workforce operations, resource management, or a related field - ideally in a large technology or SaaS company
  • Deep understanding of headcount management processes, AI productivity multipliers, including planning cycles, requisition workflows, and org design
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex workforce data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Proven ability to build trust and influence at all levels, including senior executives
  • Experience with workforce management tools (e.g., Workday)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at crafting exec-ready narratives and presentations
  • High agency and comfort operating in ambiguity; able to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI tools and emerging technologies (e.g., Agentforce, Slack AI) to drive smarter ways of working
  • Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Salesforce's V2MOM process, org structure, and the DET organization
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Quip/Slack canvases, and Smartsheet
  • Prior experience supporting a senior executive or C-suite leader
  • MBA or advanced degree
