Temporary Operational Buyer/Planner (Colorado Springs, CO)
Job Description

We are seeking a self-motivated and results-driven individual with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of procurement processes. This is an exciting opportunity for driving cost savings and developing strategic supplier relationships to support the production builds of Philips' Image Guided Therapy business's Philips Laser System (PLS).
Your role:
  • Analyzes Operational Material Management (OMM) KPIs, proposes and takes ownership of corrective or preventive actions, monitors continuous improvement progress through analytical tools, and handles master data setting and stock levels during the Industrialization phase to ensure smooth production ramp-up.
  • Generates Purchase Orders to suppliers, monitors order status regarding delivery time, quality, and price, resolves moderate Purchase Order issues and validates order quantities within stock levels by consolidating orders for individual suppliers when necessary.
  • Validates forecasts and communicates forecasts to suppliers, plans forecast along with suppliers through meetings and supply availability checks and ensures alignment and balance between material planning and production planning.
  • Monitors unplanned procurement materials and exceptions, conducts supplier business reviews, places orders for materials at Industrialization phase, and implements supply disruption mitigation strategies, including involving procurement for commercial leverage when necessary.
  • Places orders with suppliers, monitors the order package for delivery time, quality, and price, tracks order confirmations, manages open orders, expedites, when necessary, manages customer supplied materials provided to vendors, ensures efficient supply chain operations within n-tier supplier networks, and ensures Enterprise Resource Planning software is consistently updated with relevant information.

You're the right fit if:
  • Bachelor/Master of Science degree in a technical or business field.
  • You've acquired 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Production Planning, or Materials Planning functions.
  • Your skills include strong knowledge of planning and supply chain industry practices, SAP ERP system, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred); experience in mature S&OP environments, driving continuous improvement, and implementing Lean methodologies; proven ability to manage all aspects of tactical material planning.
  • You're an excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Colorado Spring, CO is $63,000 to $100,000.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
