Job description

NVIDIA's invention of the GPU in 1999 accelerated PC gaming, redefined computer graphics, and advanced parallel computing. More recently, deep learning powered by GPUs has ignited modern AI, powering systems that can perceive, reason, and act. Today, we are widely recognized as a leader in AI computing. As our manufacturing footprint expands, we are strengthening our on-the-ground operational leadership. We are seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Operations Site Lead based in Houston, Texas, to help build and lead our local NVIDIA presence with clarity, focus, and collaboration. This role represents NVIDIA's senior operational presence in Houston within an outsourced manufacturing model. While our manufacturing partner leads day-to-day factory execution, this position is accountable for site-level performance on NVIDIA's behalf. You will collaborate with our manufacturing partner leadership, NVIDIA cross-functional teams, and component and vendor partners to meet build commitments, quality standards, and supply continuity. Success in this role depends on clear coordination, consistent performance management, and timely addressing of critical issues. The objective is clear: enable manufacturing partner success in a way that protects NVIDIA's operational commitments and customer outcomes. The work demands validated operational judgment, consistent leadership in stressful situations, and the capability to bring several teams together around common goals.

What you will be doing:

  • Establish the site's operating model, mission, and performance rhythm to align with NVIDIA's broader manufacturing and supply objectives.

  • Partner to lead day-to-day site operations, coordinating people, resources, and factory interfaces to ensure build plans are accomplished, and supply commitments are protected.

  • Serve as the primary NVIDIA contact for Houston-area manufacturing partners, addressing operational and business issues in a structured and timely manner.

  • Provide leadership during factory disruptions, emergency response situations, and recovery efforts, ensuring clear communication, addressing critical issues, and restoring stable operations.

  • Build and develop the Texas operations team, including workforce planning, hiring, mentoring, and performance management. Foster a culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner with internal functions across planning, engineering, quality, materials, IT and logistics to align working models, tools, important metrics, and resource plans. Act as a senior point of contact when cross-functional alignment is required.

  • Coordinate continuity of supply assurance processes, including forecast acceptance alignment and execution through delivery of finished goods into NVIDIA-managed distribution and customer-owned hubs.

  • Manage site-level budgets and resources responsibly, ensuring operational investments support performance, resiliency, and long-term scalability.

  • Provide regular, clear reporting on operational performance, risks, and recovery actions to senior leadership.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 12+ overall years of experience in manufacturing partner environments, production planning, or manufacturing operations, including at least 5 years of direct people leadership.

  • Strong understanding of board, system, and network product manufacturing flows, with demonstrated capability leading complex operational programs.

  • Proven experience establishing operating structures, performance cadences, and cross-functional alignment mechanisms in manufacturing environments.

  • Experience working within global manufacturing networks and distributed supply bases.

  • Structured analytical and problem-solving capability, with sound operational judgment.

  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to align technical and business collaborators.

  • Experience managing performance through key performance indicators and establishing a culture of continual improvement, while operating effectively in a fast paced, high-visibility environment.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Demonstrates steady leadership in fast-paced operational situations, including factory recovery or supply disruptions.

  • Establishes trust with manufacturing partners while upholding accountability to performance commitments.

  • Develops strong teams by setting clear expectations, mentoring thoughtfully, and modeling ownership.

  • Brings a practical, process-focused approach to continuous improvement across factory execution and site operations.

NVIDIA offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. More importantly, this role provides the opportunity to help build a growing manufacturing presence in Texas and influence how operational commitments translate into customer impact. If you are motivated to build teams, strengthen execution, and ensure supply performs as promised, we encourage your interest.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 299,000 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.

Applications for this job will be accepted at least until June 7, 2026.
