POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager of Community Solutions Development is responsible for leading and managing a team of Community Solutions Development Executives who seek out new residential sales opportunities for MetroNet across multiple markets and states. They will lead and mentor their team in strategizing, identifying, coordinating, and implementing market development plans designed to maintain and increase residential sales opportunities for Metronet. Alongside their team the Regional Manager will secure new opportunities through the development of relationships with, but not limited to, residential housing contractors, single family Homeowner Associations, and Utility Companies. They will collaborate with Leadership, Business Development, Construction Project Management, Outside Plant, and Residential Sales to evaluate opportunities to grow Metronets serviceable footprint. Manager of Community Solutions Development will share and present team performance to Metronet leadership.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop, execute, and oversee a strategy that prioritizes growth and expansion of Metronet services
  • Be an expert in your region by conducting in-depth research and analysis of territory, including competitive landscape.
  • Support the team in working and negotiating with developers, builders, city contacts, and Homeowner Associations to secure plats, power plans, and/or Utility Access Agreements (UAA).
  • Utilize multiple resources including, but not limited to, internal maps, Google Earth, GIS maps, FCC Broadband intel to evaluate residential growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments across the organization to execute and manage opportunities through to completion.
  • Lead and support the team from concept to completion used to secure new residential customers through expansions, joint trench partnerships, and Utility Access agreement projects.
  • Work with Finance, Marketing, and Legal to develop quick to revenue opportunities - may include responding to service inquires and internally sourced growth leads.
  • Utilize company provided Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to efficiently manage team opportunities and performance.
  • Maintain existing and develop new relationships with local relevant organizations with the purpose of elevating awareness of MetroNet within the community and thus, increasing Metronet footprint.
  • Attend, as needed, local community, governmental, and economic development events and meetings with the purpose of forwarding the agenda of MetroNet to increase our residential services to the community.
  • Responsible for team monthly and quarterly budgeted quota, resulting in residential market growth.
  • Mentor and develop direct associates, including individual professional development plans
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a focus on continuous improvement and driving the business forward
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports relating to regional performance
  • All other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • 4-year college degree in business, or related experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing sales or business development teams
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing
  • Reside within one of the Metronet markets in the assigned region
  • Working knowledge and experience with Access Laws, rules, and FCC requirements (Inside Wiring Rules) required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications required, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Documented experience working and communicating with C-Suite
  • Excellent communication skill both verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization internally and externally
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be detail oriented & maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Prior experience in operations, marketing, or other aspects of the real-estate industry experience preferred
  • Available to travel as needed.
