Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Material Pre-weigher
Location: Florence, KY
Shift Details: Weekend Days (6 am - 6 pm) "Schedule options"
Fri/Sat/Sun OR Sat/Sun/Mon, with optional 8/hr shift
Position Overview/Position Responsibilities:
A Preweigher position is a crucial role in the early stages of the manufacturing process, particularly where precise formulations and ingredient measurements are essential. In the context of a cosmetics manufacturing plant, like L'Oréal, this role is responsible for accurately weighing and preparing raw materials according to specific formulas or recipes before they are added to the bulk mixing or production process.
What we are looking for:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • Electrical and Mechanical Knowledge
  • Chemical Mixing experience in a similar industry
  • Forklift experience preferred

    Essential Functions:

  • Physically and logically move all components or chemicals as required to support manufacturing and processing (Retrieval for Pkg floor, retrieval for Pre-weigh, AGV Chasing function, supply of exchange rack, etc.) Locate all incoming merchandise using L'Oréal's warehouse systems (Flexnet) (Sample as necessary, utilize Putaway function in Flexnet).
  • Receives incoming vendor deliveries, verifies receipt quantities & related documentation. Completes all computer entries using L'Oréal's warehouse systems (SAP and Flexnet) and completes all associated paperwork.
  • Load finished good pallets onto trailers following trailer safety guidelines & ensuring accurate scanning to proper destination.

  • Follows prescribed procedures to accurately pre-weigh batches in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in work location, including washing of pumps, drums, utensils, wiping down of equipment and using floor scrubbing equipment.
  • Train temporary staff in the areas of Safety & Quality. Provide work instruction for temporaries.

  • Investigate anomalies with inventory movements, receipts, etc. using computer inventory system
  • Complete cycle counts as required.
