Job Description:

Inter-Con Security is seeking a Trainer / Account Manager to support a transit security program in Reno, NV. This is a dual-hat role combining training delivery and account management responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will serve as the primary on-the-ground representative, ensuring training compliance, operational effectiveness, and strong stakeholder relationships for a small but critical security operation.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Compliance

  • Deliver and facilitate security training programs, including firearms training, onboarding, and refresher training
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure all officers meet certification requirements
  • Coordinate with third-party instructors when necessary
  • Support officers transitioning from unarmed to armed roles

Account Management / Stakeholder Relations

  • Act as the primary liaison between Inter-Con and program stakeholders
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with leadership and partners
  • Ensure expectations are met regarding staffing, performance, and compliance
  • Provide updates and address operational concerns proactively

Operations Support

  • Oversee day-to-day performance of ~20–25 security officers
  • Monitor compliance with post orders and procedures
  • Support Supervisors in patrol checks and coverage
  • Assist with staffing coordination and performance management

Scope of Role

  • Program size: ~20–25 officers
  • Coverage includes multiple transit centers and one primary facility
  • Environment: Armed security program

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in security, training, or supervisory roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Basic computer proficiency

Preferred

  • Nevada PILB certification or ability to obtain
  • Firearms instructor experience
  • Military or law enforcement background
  • Client-facing or account management experience

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Hybrid role with remote and on-site responsibilities
