The Strategic Technology Group (STG) unit at Infosys is designed for power programmers and senior technologists who want to go beyond traditional development roles and take on complex, large-scale technology challenges.The STG unit brings together Specialist Programmers, Senior Technologists, and Technical Leaders who possess deep expertise across software design and development, cloud-native architectures, enterprise platforms, data engineering, and emerging technologies, including generative AI and agentic AI.Members of the STG unit play a strategic role in shaping technology direction, solving complex business challenges, and delivering resilient, high-quality outcomes. They are expected to demonstrate strong technical depth, sound architectural judgment, and hands‑on leadership, while mentoring teams and influencing best practices across programs.The STG unit emphasizes software development excellence, innovation, and continuous upskilling. It offers experienced talent the opportunity to work on transformational initiatives, engage closely with stakeholders, and grow as trusted technology leaders within Infosys’ global delivery ecosystem.

In the assigned Job Role of Architecture Principal, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:
  • Partner with business stakeholders and oversee requirement elicitation process, to align requirements with immediate and prospective market demands.
  • Drive scalable and secure architectural designs ensuring compliance with architectural standards, integration of appropriate security measures and smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Lead and anchor solution evaluation efforts, assessing the client’s existing landscape to recommend integrated, stable, and future‑proof solutions. Develop a strategic roadmap for future transformation and communicate the same to client stakeholders.
  • Create roadmap for integration of architectural solutions basis system risk landscape and define short, medium and long‑term milestones, ensuring alignment with organization's overall technology and business goals.
  • Define strategies for large‑scale transitions and modernization initiatives.
  • Act as an advisor to technical teams and client stakeholders. Build client relationships, assess client feedback obtained by the team and provide insights on plans to be actioned upon basis the feedback.
  • Drive performance optimization initiatives for the enterprise architectural landscape and provide insights on technological risk areas and related mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of critical organizational technical knowledge.
  • Contribute to proposals and go‑to market materials by collaborating with sales teams and provide insights on specialized methodologies and architectural solutions during client engagement.

  • Build strategic relationships with CXOs at Client organizations, technology partners, hyperscalers, startups, academia, and industry ecosystems. Be the trusted partner to CXOs within client leadership, aligning and influencing architectural and engineering decisions to business objectives.
  • Build EA practice within the segment and scale.
  • Significant Contribution to the productization and standardization of Infosys AI platforms, industry stacks, and Frontier Engineering offerings through field insights.
  • Define reusable transformation frameworks, reference architectures, and solution blueprints adopted across multiple engagements.
  • Influence industry‑level AI and digital transformation strategies.
  • Define, evolve, implement population scale platform architecture and strategic platform foundations by translating client objectives into scalable, high‑performance solutions
  • Author design blueprints while ensuring alignment to functional and non‑functional goals
  • Drive adoption and operationalization of emerging and/or evolving technologies
  • Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies
  • Experience in the areas of Digital, AI First architecture in the areas like next generation UI/UX, API/ Microservices, Data/ Analytics, cloud and Agentic AI implementation
  • Should have played the role of a Chief Architect or Digital architecture lead in the past and should have personally led a team of architects as part of large programs and provided guidance, coaching and mentoring to ensure technical quality of the program is met
  • Should have technology breadth covering UI stack, Containerization using REST / Node, Functional Programming Architecture (covering experience, API/Microservices, analytics, cloud and security), Enterprise Integration and depth in more of these areas to drive end to end technology solution
  • Should have very good understanding of the EA frameworks (for e.g. TOGAF, Zachman) and should have applied one or more of these frameworks in practice
  • Convert innovation roadmaps into modernization program charters, platform capabilities that strengthen competitive positioning and organizational transformation
  • Act as a thought leader and drive innovation with industry leading publications, patents and IP [Intellectual Property]
  • Drive execution across stakeholders, resolve high risk technical challenges and build critical components
Preferred Skill and Experience
  • Should have high level business and process understanding of one or more industries
  • Should have personally led & delivered one or more digital transformation program (size > $10m) successfully with tangible business outcomes
  • Should have very good communication and articulation skills and is able to communicate with right level of abstraction and detail when interacting with CXO, Middle mgmt. and developers
  • Should be able to do rough order of magnitude estimation and costing to determine the high‑level TCO for large programs
  • Should have deep technology expertise in one or more areas (Digital/Mobility, Customer/User experience, API and Micro services, Search, Content Management, DAM, Commerce, CRM, Order management, Analytics, Cloud and SAAS/PAAS platforms) and should be able to have deep dive discussions with SMEs in this space
  • Should have zero distance to code and be able review the detailed design, code, configuration, data model and provide specific inputs to the architects and developers
  • Should have good understanding and exposure to the products and platforms relevant to digital transformation
  • Should have good understanding of the leading open-source technologies, frameworks and tools in the market
  • Should have good understanding of leading No SQL databases
  • Develop the GTM [Go-to-Market] offerings, along with associated artifacts and collaterals, for the productized solutions.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in global industry forum, analyst meets, partner events and client connect.
  • Should be able to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
