    Role Overview

    Hearst Newspapers is seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Executive to drive revenue growth for Austin Monthly and Austin Home magazines across print, digital, social, branded content, and live experiences. This role is ideal for a consultative seller who thrives on building relationships, developing new business, and delivering integrated, full-funnel marketing solutions that generate measurable results for clients.

    The Account Executive will be responsible for managing and growing a robust pipeline, identifying new opportunities, and executing strategic sales initiatives. This role requires strong collaboration across internal teams while maintaining a client-first mindset and a commitment to exceeding revenue goals.

    In addition to selling across Hearst's full suite of offerings, this role will contribute to event sponsorship and experiential revenue, connecting brands with Austin's most engaged audiences through signature events and custom activations.

    What will you do?

    • Drive revenue growth by selling across print, digital, social, branded content, and event sponsorships through integrated marketing solutions
    • Prospect and develop new business opportunities while growing and retaining an existing book of business
    • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, consistently progressing opportunities from prospecting through close
    • Execute consultative selling strategies, identifying client needs and creating customized, results-driven campaigns
    • Achieve and exceed sales goals through disciplined activity, time management, and follow-through
    • Sell event sponsorships and experiential programs, connecting clients to high-impact audience engagement opportunities
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, marketing, events, and production teams to deliver seamless campaigns
    • Manage campaign execution, ensuring accuracy, client satisfaction, and timely delivery across all platforms
    • Work within magazine production cycles, coordinating with internal teams on ad materials, deadlines, and layout considerations
    • Maintain CRM accuracy and pipeline visibility, ensuring consistent reporting and forecasting
    • Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted marketing advisor within the Austin market
