Job description

IT Senior Engineer, Software (Eversource Energy Service Company) (Berlin, CT)
  • Involved in the entire lifecycle of products, including capital projects and operational support
  • Proactively identify issues, problem solve and implement workable solutions
  • Engage directly with IT management, software development teams, technical product support teams, IT architecture and security, and external vendors to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of technology-based solutions
  • Make improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of work area
  • Provide measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement business strategies
  • Make software design decisions, identifying potential issues, tradeoffs, risks, and the appropriate level of abstraction
  • Navigate and make legacy code maintainable
  • Add scripts to simplify developer onboarding
  • and Work emergency restoration assignment as required

In order to complete the above-mentioned tasks, the following skills and experience are required:

  • Experience developing with Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Experience supporting Maximo
  • Experience supporting SAP Ariba application or integrations between Ariba and platforms like Maximo
  • Experience with Ariba Network and Ariba Sourcing
  • Experience supporting ETL integrations (WebMethods / Informatica)
  • Experience programming with Java and Python
  • Experience with J2EE application server (e.g., WebSphere Application Server)
  • Experience with Oracle PL/SQL development
  • Experience with Azure Cloud
  • Experience with Jira or VSTS DevOps
  • Experience with ETL Integration (WebMethods / Informatica)
  • Experience with Ariba Integration Toolkit (AITK)
  • Experience with IBM Maximo 8 or 7.x application configuration and support
  • Experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and Migration Manager
  • Experience with Workflow Designer, Application Designer and Database Configuration applications that are used to configure Maximo
  • and Experience with Maximo automation scripting and best practices

Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field, and at least five years of experience in Information Technology or a related occupation.

Hybrid option to work from home.

Domestic travel required between Connecticut (CT), Massachusetts (MA), and New Hampshire (NH) [5%].

Salary: $147,430 - $153,000/year.
