    Following established process and procedures, the Maintenance Technician is expected to perform emergency, routine and preventive maintenance on all production and building equipment while maintaining safety and communicating effectively. This position is responsible for daily problem solving and for the repair of robotic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or small outdoor power equipment that is associated with manufacturing and facility infrastructure (where applicable).

    Responsibilities
    Maintenance Technician I

    • Support and service of production lines within the facility.

    • Perform preventative maintenance of production line equipment.

    • Seasonal external facility maintenance.

    • Waste management and simple routine facility maintenance.

    • Identifying parts and materials needed to perform duties.

    • Maintenance of 5S program.

    • Maintaining compliance with training programs.

    • Other duties as assigned.


    Maintenance Technician II

    • All Maintenance Technician I responsibilities.

    • Email and phone conversations with vendors.

    • Maintenance and system entry of PM's and work orders.

    • Gather information and assist in creation of new PMs.

    • Mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repair.

    • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and building schematics.

    • Replacement of broken or outdated building facility.


    Maintenance Technician III - Journeyman

    • All Maintenance Technician I & II responsibilities.

    • Build manufacturing lines and cells to support production needs.

    • Advanced mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repair.

    • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance of production line equipment.

    • Coordinate resources for projects with external vendors.

    • Create and implement timelines for work completion.

    • Provide technical support to project managers and engineers as needed.

    • Assist with relocating complex machines, equipment and components.

    • Train technicians how to trouble shoot and repair mechanical, electrical and PLC equipment.

    Requirements
    Maintenance Technician I & II requirements.

    • 7-10 years of experience with equipment and automation consistent with automation, robotics, metal fabrication, paint or assembly operations.

    Maintenance Technician I

    • Ability to effectively communicate across departments.

    • Ability to identify problems and implement solutions.

    • Ability to safely and proficiently perform maintenance and related activities of equipment, building, and grounds.

    • Ability to prioritize daily and weekly work assignments as needed.

    • Demonstrated knowledge in OSHA, Arc Flash, LOTO and NEC.

    • PIV training and certification.

    • Airial lift training and certification.

    • Knowledge of basic PC functions including Windows knowledge.

    Maintenance Technician II

    • Maintenance Technician I knowledge, skills, and abilities.

    • Ability to work off of drawings, sketches, and blueprints.

    • Initiative to learn how to assist, diagnose and repair equipment.

    • Ability to acquire and maintain certifications for operation of service equipment.


    Maintenance Technician III - Journeyman

    • Maintenance Technician I & II knowledge, skills, and abilities.

    • Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex issues.

    • Ability to lead in the designing, fabricating and welding of mechanical structures, guards and equipment.

    • Advanced knowledge of codes and regulations as they apply to an industrial maintenance role.

    • Ability and knowledge needed to mentor and train apprentices and/or maintenance technicians.

    • Advanced knowledge of PLC hardware and programming systems.

    • Ability to maintain and troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment.

    • Ability to manage projects related to repairs and maintenance using both internal and external resources.

    • Advanced welding experience.

    • Knowledge of robotics and automation.

    • Ability to partner with Engineering and other departments as SME.

    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
