    Job description

    The Logistics Support Specialist will serve as a liaison for the Dollar General Transportation Operations team at the Dollar General headquarters in Goodlettsville, TN from Omaha, NE. This position will fill a critical role by adding a corporate presence to ensure DG's interests are represented in the delivery process while simultaneously providing improved accessibility for DG's dedicated carriers through direct access to a local resource that will support required load changes, resolve store delivery issues and maintain reporting and metrics for their DC of responsibility.
    Responsibilities:
    Maintain Dollar General TMS as the official system of record for all outbound loads executed at their Distribution Center to include adding/modifying/cancelling outbound store deliveries, store sweeps, vendor pick-ups, dunnage sweeps or carrier tender adjustments.
    Correspond daily with DG Supervisors and planners to ensure all site-level KPIs are on track and provide first hand feedback on how the site is performing.
    Assist in response to delivery, store sweep, and backhaul load status requests and ensure carriers are updating DG systems appropriately.
    Audit weekly on-time results and communicate directly with stores to resolve discrepancies between carrier reported results and store recognition of delivery.
    Assists DG Sr. Supervisor with asset management including trailer tracking, dunnage return inspections, and rolltainer counts.
    Work in Respond to help facilitate and ensure rolltainer pickups/swaps are being completed.
