    Job Description

    ob Responsibilities include 

    - Provide technical support and leadership to resolve manufacturing, test, quality and supplier issues. 

    - Improve production processes to achieve site and functional goals. 

    - Provide technical support and leadership for lean, kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. 

    - Specify tooling needed to support production operations. 

    - Design/develop production processes, as required, to ensure efficient operations from receiving through to final test. 

    - Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action activities for customer escapes to establish controls for quality improvement. 

    - Review incumbent test solutions against current 'best-in-class' practices. Improve where warranted. 

    - Define Production flow and layout to maximize productivity and efficiency. 

    - Determine Production Capacity and ensure adequacy of test solutions. 

    - Review and approve test equipment designs, manufacturing strategy, and other IPDS Phase Gate exit criteria. 


    Basic Requirements: 

    - Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Technical or related degree 

    - 1 or more years directly related experience in Product Manufacturing Engineering processes 

    - US citizen to support specific government programs and projects. 


    Qualifications

    dditional Requirements: 

    - BSEE/BSME/BSEET/BSMET preferred 

    - Strong Knowledge of Test, Quality and Manufacturing Methodologies desired 

    - Project leadership experience desired 

    - Ability to troubleshoot electrical/mechanical assemblies to the component level preferred 

    - Lean Manufacturing/Flow experience preferred 

    - Good verbal and written communication skills and experience in technical procedure development 

    - Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization 

    - Green Belt Certification (Black Belt/Lean Expert preferred)
