Are you one of those rare people that like cutting edge technology, market focused business development as well as other human beings? Do you have previous experience within quantum-related markets? Then we have an exciting and home office-based Market Development Manager role for you!
We make fiber lasers, and we are good at it. That's why we need you, an experienced Market Development Manager, to develop our major strategic accounts while identifying new business opportunities within the quantum technology markets. Our customers are true innovators. They change the world with their breakthroughs in academia and advanced research on a corporate level.
You will be part of our global Market Development team and report directly to our Senior Market Development Manager. On a regular basis, you will interact with your awesome colleagues in our Sales, Market Development & Strategic Marketing, Product Management and Engineering teams as well as our Key Customer, Partners, and Ecosystem Stakeholders.
We have the products. The brand. The strategy. We even have customers who want to buy more from us than they already have. What we need is an experienced Market Development Manager to tie it all together. We think that might be you!
About the Position
In this position, you will contribute to sustaining and expanding existing business while capturing new customers, applications, and partnerships within quantum-related markets.
Your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Mapping key players, ecosystems, and value chains within relevant quantum segments
  • Developing a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements through frequent customer engagement and visits.
  • Supporting development of business cases and contributing to product and roadmap discussions related to quantum technology.
  • Engaging with strategic accounts at an early stage to satisfy customers and grow long-term business relationships.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and developing new business opportunities within quantum technology markets.
  • Understanding customer requirements and applications and translating market insights into actionable commercial opportunities.
  • Actively participating in trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and industry events relevant to key accounts and quantum.

About You
You have a degree in a STEM field with a Master's or higher preferred. You also have at least five years of similar professional experience in key account management, business development, sales or market development within photonics, quantum technology, or related high-technology industries. You have a proven ability to build, manage, and grow long-term key account relationships. Your strong analytical and structured approach to market and opportunity assessment help you to be an excellent negotiator, communicator, and presenter.
