    Job Description:

    The Machinist is responsible for the setup and operation of manual machining equipment to remove material and restore or create component features in accordance with technical specifications. This role supports repair operations by ensuring parts meet required dimensions and quality standards prior to and after coating applications.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Obtain and prepare fixtures, tooling, parts, and materials for machining operations, including Manual Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) work
    • Set up and operate machining equipment to remove material and achieve required dimensions
    • Perform machining operations to support pre-coating preparation, post-coating finishing, and feature restoration
    • Conduct finishing operations as required, including deburring, tapping, honing, and general bench work
    • Follow written and verbal work instructions to ensure accurate and compliant execution of tasks
    • Utilize approved measuring tools and gauges to inspect parts and determine required material removal
    • Support repair development efforts, including new program introduction and enhancement of existing repair processes, as needed
