Job description

Role Overview

The Threat Intelligence Analyst will play a critical role within Axon's Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) by actively monitoring the global threat landscape, conducting in-depth threat analysis, and enabling early detection of risks that could impact Axon's rapidly scaling global footprint-including people, facilities, travelers, and operations. This role is central to the GSOC's mission of protecting life, mitigating loss, and moving from a reactive posture to a more proactive, intelligence-led approach-anticipating, assessing, and actioning threats before they materialize. The analyst will bridge threat intelligence across physical security, information security, and cybersecurity domains to ensure unified situational awareness and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor global threat landscapes, focusing on civil unrest, geopolitical instability, extremism, and organized crime.
  • Provide near real-time threat intelligence to GSOC leadership, enabling informed decision-making and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Produce clear, timely threat assessments, advisories, BOLOs, and situational reports for stakeholders across global operations, executive protection, workplace violence, and event security.
  • Serve as a liaison between GSOC and InfoSec/Cybersecurity teams, ensuring cross-domain threat intelligence convergence.
  • Develop and maintain early warning indicators, risk models, and intelligence watchlists for high-priority regions and assets.
  • Support incident monitoring, threat validation, and escalation during crisis events impacting global facilities or personnel.
  • Contribute to development of GSOC threat intelligence SOPs and playbooks, integrating tools and platforms like Fusus, ZeroFox, Citizen, and others.
  • Assist in training GSOC staff on intelligence tools, procedures, and current threats.
  • Represent Axon in external threat intelligence exchanges and corporate security working groups.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in threat intelligence, physical security, military, law enforcement, or corporate security settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in OSINT tools, social media exploitation, and global threat monitoring platforms.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with the ability to create concise, decision-ready reports.
  • Understanding of the convergence between physical security, cybersecurity, and information security domains.
  • Experience with enterprise security risk management and incident command models
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure, with discretion and professionalism.
  • Bachelors degree in criminal justice, Intelligence Studies, Homeland Security, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing detailed threat profiles for global regions, cities, and Axon site locations.
  • Supportive role in physical security site assessments, including Threat and Vulnerability Assessments (TVAs).
  • Familiarity with travel security programs and integrating threat intel into travel protocols.
  • Understanding of executive protection support and protective intelligence methodologies.
  • Experience with Axon security tech stack including Fusus, Dedrone, Skydio, body-worn cameras, and Citizen Enterprise.
  • Relevant certifications such as CTIA, GCTI, GIAC GSIH, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of behavioral threat assessment and workplace violence prevention programs.
  • Experience supporting GSOC operations, global events, or major incident responses.
  • Prior experience or demonstrated willingness to integrate into an Incident Command framework, including a significant role supporting ICS-based response in security, military, law enforcement, or corporate settings.
  • Strong alignment with Axon's mission to Protect Life and a commitment to supporting public safety and the greater good of the community.
