911 is the backbone of public safety, yet the professionals behind it have long been held back by outdated technology. Axon 911 is here to change that. Joining this team means more than taking a job-it means helping shape the future of emergency response and building a safer, more connected world.

Your Impact:

The Solution Architect position is a technical role responsible for providing guidance and consulting for client-facing solutions leveraging Axon 911's call handling systems in a variety of operational schemes in both government and private sector use cases. As a Solution Architect at Axon 911, you will be responsible for assisting the sales cycle as well as the operations department by designing end-to-end solutions including Axon 911's products as well as integrations with 3rd party solutions. You will participate in both pre-sales services and delivery activities on strategic engagements for clients and with partners to provide optimal and comprehensive solutions; write technical specs, systems, and flow diagrams; and collaborate and perform research for different technologies and solutions together with our R&D and CTO departments.

What You'll Do:
  • Define, at an architectural and design level of detail, technical solutions aligned with our client's business problems (leveraging Axon 911's cloud solution with customers' existing architecture and according to local regulations)
  • Assist Axon 911's regional partners with scoping complex deployment solutions, which typically involve multiple products, networks, and complex integrations with client applications/systems
  • Work with our sales team on new opportunities to understand customer objectives and provide continuity for architecture and roadmap exercises, including technical specs, build of materials, and detailed architecture diagrams and flows
  • Prepare model RFPs and responses to customer RFPs
  • Perform research on different technologies or other vendor solutions in the context of client requirements for integration
  • Provide thought leadership and ensure that customer engagements are aligned with Axon 911's implementation best practices
  • Provide hands-on assistance with the detailed design and implementation approach of selected engagements
  • Demonstrate product and technical leadership on Axon 911's projects with customers and partners
  • Assist delivery teams with deploying technical solutions, developing code, and resolving technical issues as required
What You Bring:
  • Experience in a technical role in the public safety industry
  • Architectural mindset - the ability to view the solution in multiple levels and from multiple viewpoints
  • Extensive experience in a Professional Services environment engaging with executive stakeholders, solution architects, and extended program teams
  • Vast experience with AWS and Azure Cloud Platform and Automation
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) / platform as a service (PaaS), microservices, and Docker containers
  • Proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and designing and implementing solutions
  • Fundamental experience with Cisco collaboration solutions, deployment, and best practices
  • Proven knowledge and experience in networking and full knowledge of the OSI model and deep understanding of 1-7 Network Layers
  • Deep understanding and knowledge in VoIP and Streaming Technologies: SIP, RTSP, RTMP, SIP-to-PSTN gateways, SIP Trunk, WebRTC
  • Experience with configuring routers and firewalls
  • Must be flexible to work with global teams and working on different time zones
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate technical details in a clear and understandable manner
  • Ability to handle and overcome objections in both a pre-sales and engagement delivery context
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
  • Ability to work in an international, fast-growing environment
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Benefits that Benefit You:
