Job description

At WHOOP, we’re on a mission to unlock human performance and health span. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives.

As an Operations Program Manager, you will lead cross-functional manufacturing programs that drive the introduction and improvement of production processes across the global supply chain of WHOOP. You’ll work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Factory, Test, and Quality teams to deliver critical initiatives that enhance product quality, throughput, cost, and readiness.

This role is based at our WHOOP Boston headquarters and plays a key role in scaling and sustaining high-performance manufacturing through structured execution, strong cross-functional alignment, and a hands-on approach to problem solving.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead end-to-end execution of manufacturing programs, including process changes, equipment and part qualification, and production scaling.
  • Translate design and product changes into executable factory plans, aligning with CMs on technical and operational requirements.
  • Define and manage program schedules, milestones, risk trackers, and contingency plans across engineering, manufacturing, and factory teams.
  • Drive resolution of manufacturing issues impacting quality, yield, throughput, or readiness by aligning stakeholders and escalating as needed.
  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives focused on key factory metrics such as yield, UPH, test performance, and material flow.
  • Support pilot builds and engineering validation runs through structured coordination of owners, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Communicate clear, concise program status and action plans to technical and executive stakeholders; drive accountability and timely decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of program management processes and tools to enable scalable, repeatable execution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, hardware operations, or program management.
  • Proven track record managing complex manufacturing or operations programs from concept through production.
  • Experience with new product or process introduction in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to align cross-functional teams and drive decision-making in ambiguous, evolving situations.
  • Familiarity with key manufacturing processes such as SMT, assembly, test, and pack-out.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to tailor messaging for technical and executive audiences.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Gantt charts, Jira, Confluence, GDrive, and Arena for program tracking and collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% to support supplier builds, validation activities, and operations reviews.
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

Interested in the role, but don’t meet every qualification? We encourage you to still apply! At WHOOP, we believe there is much more to a candidate than what is written on paper, and we value character as much as experience. As we continue to build a diverse and inclusive environment, we encourage anyone who is interested in this role to apply.

In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package..

These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
