Job Title: Senior IT Program Manager (Enterprise Applications)
Role Overview
We are seeking a career-oriented Senior IT Project Manager to lead high-visibility, multi-year enterprise application initiatives. In this "fully qualified" senior role, you will act as the single point of contact for complex projects that require advanced risk management and strategic partnership with external firms. You will exercise a high degree of discretion and judgment, overseeing everything from conceptual design to final delivery. Beyond project execution, you will be a champion for PMO best practices and a mentor to the broader project management community within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• End-to-End Project Ownership: Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned IT application projects, including rigorous management of financials, timelines, and delivery schedules.
• Strategic Advisory: Provide expert guidance to engineering and technical teams on producing complex risk analyses, alternative studies, and conceptual designs for executive sponsorship.
• Executive Interface: Conduct formal presentations to Officers and senior leadership. Arbitrate and resolve high-level conflicts to keep multi-year projects on track.
• Operational Oversight: Specialize in the administration of critical enterprise-wide IT systems, specifically focusing on integrated billing and service-to-revenue application lifecycles.
• PMO Leadership: Develop and champion company-wide project management best practices. Mentor junior project managers and ensure all PMO deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
• Vendor & Risk Management: Navigate formal partnering agreements with outside firms and manage significant project risks through proactive mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: * Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, project controls, or engineering.
• Proven track record of managing "End-to-End" IT application projects from initiation through closure.
• Certification: Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
• Technical Mastery:
• Mastery of project management toolsets (scheduling, financial tracking, and resource leveling).
• Superior ability to interface across supporting organizations and lead complex project teams.
• Attributes: High-level analytical skills, professional discretion, and the ability to drive results in a high-visibility, "Journey Level" senior capacity.
